(La Crosse, Wisconsin)... “Just when we didn’t think it could get any worse after $700 billion in bailouts and a $787 billion failed stimulus bill, the news that February’s deficit was the largest of any month in history is yet another sign to voters that government growth must be stopped.

Instead, Washington D.C. and Congressman Kind are intent on passing a $1 trillion health care bill.  The cost of the Stimulus Bill has grown by $75 billion.  And, it seems as if the U.S. Congress is spending hundreds-of-billions every month.   Just last month, Congressman Kind voted to increase the debt ceiling by nearly $2 trillion.  Congressman Kind is committed to the Washington D.C. approach to every problem: Just throw money at everything!

The only way to stop Congressional runaway spending that is stifling our nation’s job providers and threatening our families’ future prosperity is to hold them accountable this November.  Our campaign is ready to answer that challenge.”
